“React to the market, act quickly and remain relevant” Washroom maze
Is a washroom, a toilet room with one or more toilets, a maze? Certainly not, you're sure to find your way somehow, but to be able to use it safely and hygienically, you need to complete the right set of steps. An optimized washroom setup will help achieve the most hygienic results. What is the most convenient setup? And how do you translate that into the #newnormal, our new one-and-a-half-meter society? The importance of hygiene has increased enormously due to the Covid pandemic. Everyone benefits from preventing the spread of the virus. Even after the pandemic passes, hygiene will continue to play a very important role in our lives. One of the most important places is the sanitary room, a space that we visit about six times a day. How should it be set up in an office, a sports club or in a restaurant? And how can we ensure that you, your colleagues or your guests can use this space with peace of mind?
And then there is the routing. Your visitors will appreciate efficient routing that walks them along the necessary facilities. To wash your hands hygienically, the right products must be available and all necessities must be provided close together. It is not pleasant and hygienic to have to walk to the other side of the room with wet hands in order to dry them. So place a soap dispenser above every washbasin, and hang a towel dispenser at eye level and directly above the waste bin. Place this waste bin directly next to the sink.
A clean toilet and a hygienic design of the washroom ensures a clean and satisfied feeling among your staff and visitors. In a sense, the washroom in your organization, building or location is like a kind of business card.
Dennis Bijlsma,
PS: Even in the smallest room in our new one-and-a-half-meter society, the bathroom, we are striving towards that same common goal: limiting and preventing the spread of the virus. How do we achieve that? Let's spar!
