From 1 April 2024, Marcel van der Zwan will join MTS Euro Products B.V. as Chief Operating Officer (COO), marking another milestone as the company pursues further growth and professionalisation. In bringing in Van Der Zwan, Euro Products CEO Gerrit Malipaard deliberately chose to look further afield: ”Marcel has a background in finance and business and will arrive in our field with a fresh pair of eyes, putting him in a prime position to help shape our new growth strategy. 

Maassluis native Van der Zwan now calls Maasland home and spent many years in various managerial positions at Rabobank Westland. In 2008, he joined Triple Group as a senior business and financial consultant, before becoming a board member and co-owner in 2021. 

Further expansion
At Triple Group, Van der Zwan's responsibilities included implementing growth strategies and initiating change processes. Activities that, says Gerrit Malipaard, form an ideal foundation for the direction Euro Products wants to take in the coming years as it pursues further expansion. “His experience in change and professionalisation projects promises to be an invaluable asset. Moreover, Marcel is a local: he knows Euro Products, he understands our DNA and will hit the ground running with his down-to-earth, no-nonsense mentality.”    

Gradual transition
Euro Products deliberately chose to gradually 'integrate' Marcel van der Zwan into the company, Gerrit Malipaard explains: "Marcel will initially be with us for four days a week, before transitioning to five days a week from 1 July 2024, giving him the chance to grow into the company.” In the coming years, Gerrit Malipaard will remain closely involved with Euro Products as CEO/director/major shareholder and will continue to induct Marcel van der Zwan as a prospective successor.
